Polling District and Polling Place Review 2021

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) reviewed wards in the London Borough of Sutton.  As a result, there will be an increase in the number of wards in Sutton (from 18 to 20 wards) and some ward boundaries will change.  These new wards will come into effect for the May 2022 Local Elections.

Full details of the Boundary Commission's ward boundary changes for Sutton can be viewed on the LGBCE's website.

Because of these changes, new polling districts had to be created within each of the new wards.  For each polling district, a suitable location for a polling station had to be identified.

A Notice of Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places, and Polling Stations was published on 16 August 2021.

We are drafted proposals for suitable polling districts and polling places for all of the new wards.  View the draft proposals from Monday, 23 August 2021.  The consultation was open until Friday, 1 October 2021.
