Support for businesses in Sutton Town Centre 

We’re working with Successful Sutton Business Improvement District to offer a package of support for businesses in Sutton Town Centre, including: 

  • Advice for independent businesses from The Retail Group, management consultants in the retail, consumer, and property sectors. This includes a full business audit, one-to-one session, action plan and access to training webinars.  

  • A business cost reduction service that can help businesses save money through joint procurement of merchant fees (paid on card machines), gas, water and electricity. This service has already saved businesses hundreds of pounds a year.

This offer is free and open to all BID levy members. The scheme is open until Friday 30 September 2022 but will close once the support has been allocated. 

This support is funded by the government and delivered by Successful Sutton in partnership with the Council.

Employability and Skills

The Careers Hub will link local business representatives and business leaders to schools and colleges in the regions to develop a talent pool of young people. The project is seeking schools / colleges to join the hub, and volunteers to become Enterprise Advisers.

Accreditation to recognise responsible business practises

Sign up to the Mayor’s Good Work standard. Benefits include helping your business recruit and retain the best skills and talent and reputational gain. 

Looking at the benefits and help available to employers by hiring an apprentice. If your business would benefit from taking on an apprentice and does not currently pay the Levy, email for more information on how Sutton Council can transfer its Levy funds to pay for the assessment and training of the apprenticeship.
