Sutton Park Events lists all the brilliant events run by Sutton Park Friends and others throughout the year. Take this opportunity to visit a new park and try something new! There are activities and events for all ages and more events will be added throughout the year.

Event listings

We will update the events listing monthly, there will be many events taking place throughout 2024.

Plant Swap & Shop in Manor Park, SM1 4AF. Saturday 18 May, 10.30am-1.30pm. The Friends of Sutton Parks are looking forward to exchanging plants and gardening goodies (bring cash or swaps). There will also be free fun family activities and Wildlife Gardening advice on offer.

Guided Tree Trail in Oaks Park, SM7 3BA. Sunday 2 June, 2pm-3pm. Hear facts and stories about twenty interesting trees, view the recently planted Jubilee Copse, see the outline of The Oaks Mansion, (the Earl of Derby’s home that used to stand in the park) and hear a little about that property. Meet at the café.

Fête Champêtre in Oaks Park, SM7 3BA. Saturday 8 June, 1pm-4pm. It is the 250th anniversary of the marriage of Lord Edward Stanley, grandson and heir of the 11th Earl of Derby, and Lady Betty Hamilton which took place at ‘The Oaks’. Join us by the cafe, to celebrate our parks history with wedding cake, music, and to have your wedding photos re-done in comic style. Come in 18th costume if you like.
