Additional FOI information for business rates (NNDR)

We receive a number of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests for information relating to business rate accounts.

We now publish lists of mandatory and discretionary rate relief awards, new accounts raised, and all business properties on this page.

Credits

The Council does not publish details of business rate accounts in credit.

Empty properties 

The Council does not publish details of empty domestic properties. 

Details of empty commercial properties not occupied by individuals can be found in the download of the full list of NNDR accounts.  

New NNDR Accounts for the previous three months

View a list of all new NNDR accounts raised in the last three months as of 31 December 2025

The data is limited to:

• name (non-individuals only)
• property address
• property reference number
• account start date
• account end date
• account creation date
• description
• current rateable value

The next list will be published in March 2026.

All Business Properties

View a snapshot of all business properties as of 31 December 2025.

The data includes:

• the name (non-individuals only)
• property address
• account start date
• billing address
• current 2023 list rateable value
• 2017 list rateable value
• current relief(s)
• current exemption(s)
• transaction values
• valuation analysis code (description)
• UPRN
• property reference number
