Local Elections
Local elections will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026 to elect new local councillors in the borough.
There are several ways that you can pay your Council Tax bill.
You can choose to pay:
Make sure you enter your bank account name exactly as it appears on your bank card or cheque book.
Once you’ve set up the Direct Debit, we’ll send a new bill to you within 10 working days. This will tell you how much you’re paying and when.
If your Direct Debits are returned unpaid, we do not automatically represent them. Also, if 3 Direct Debits are returned unpaid, then it’s automatically cancelled.
If you set up payments by Direct Debit, you could win £100 in our quarterly prize draw.
You’ll need to give your Council Tax account number when making the payment. This is shown at the top of your bill.
Call our 24 hour automated telephone payment service on 020 8770 7887.
