If you are concerned about a child, young person or parent or carer that needs support in some way, you can make a report online.

Make a report about a child

You can report concerns about:

  • a child's safety or wellbeing
  • a child's developmental needs
  • issues that the parent/carer is experiencing
  • suspected neglect or abuse

What you’ll need to tell us:

  • your name
  • your address
  • details of the child that you have concerns about
  • information about the concerns you’re having

Any details that you provide are held in the strictest of confidence and not disclosed to any party. This includes anyone connected to the child you have concerns about.

Our specialist safeguarding team will handle your report, make enquiries, and contact you again if necessary.

If you’re unsure if you should make a report

You can contact the NSPCC for help if you are unsure whether to report your concerns.

If you are worried about a child's school attendance or have any concerns about child employment, you can report a borough school attendance or child employment issue using our online form.

The Children's First Contact Service (CFCS) has been put in place to give professionals a single, quick and easy referral and assessment pathway to access Children’s Social Care in the London borough of Sutton.

Completing a referral form

Completing the CFCS referral form is now the quickest and easiest way to access support from Children’s Services.

This single referral form will be the new format for the following:

  • Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) - Referral Form
  • Early Help Request
  • Parenting Plus Referral
  • Children with Disabilities - Access point referral
