Folding bikes, e-bikes and trailers now available in Sutton’s Try Before you Bike scheme

In addition to standard pedal bikes for adults and children, folding and e-bikes are now available and are great for those who need to make longer journeys. Our range also includes trailers to hold one to two children, ideal for a healthy school run.

The Try Before you Bike scheme is an easy, flexible way to try out cycling without making an expensive commitment. Prices start from just £20 per month for adult bikes and from £10 for kids bikes, and allow you to get a new or nearly new bike delivered to your home by a qualified cycle instructor who will help you get started with a cycle skills session.

Sutton resident and Try Before You Bike customer Allen said: 

“My wife and I decided to take up cycling but wanted to make sure it suited us before investing in our own (electric) bikes. Peddle My Wheels don’t only provide the bikes but also all the additional items to keep both us and the bikes safe. Excellent scheme which allows us to make up our minds in our own time.”

Councillor Manuel Abellan, Chair of the Environment and Neighbourhood Committee, said:

“We know that cycling provides significant benefits to our physical and mental health, as well as to our environment, which is why we introduced the Try Before you Bike scheme in Sutton. It’s a great way to try out cycling risk-free and to build confidence before making any commitment, and is just one of the ways that we are tackling the climate crisis."
