The first local funding window for 2023 is now open.

Local funding is designed to support a wide range of projects that matter most to our residents from local events, to the installation of new play equipment in our parks. There are several grants residents can apply for depending on what you want to achieve.

  1. The first grant available is for community projects or events. If you are looking to organise a local project, activity or event to benefit your local area this may be the funding option for you. It can be used to deliver a project, activity or event, or to cover any fees and charges associated with it. For example, road closures, insurance, waste services or event licences. Previous events we have supported include the St Helier Music Festival and the Belmont Festival. Projects have included football coaching for kids and an over 50’s lunch club run by the African & Caribbean Heritage Association

Funding is open to voluntary organisations, local charities or community groups. The applications are open from 31st March - 9th May, with another chance to apply later this year. More information about how to apply for funding.

  1. The second grant available is for improvements in your local neighbourhood - this might be the renovation of a community centre, planting trees or the installation of new play equipment. The important thing is that the projects need to provide improvements that benefit the local community.

Individuals, organisations and community groups have until 30th July 2023 to apply for the Neighbourhood Fund. More information about how to apply for neighbourhood funding.

Local funding is a great way to enhance your local area and deliver events and projects to bring your community together.
