Councillor Barry Lewis, Leader of the Council, discusses the planning approval secured for London Cancer Hub

"I'm down here at the Innovation Gateway at the London Cancer Hub in Sutton, South London, and I'm delighted to say that on Wednesday night, planning permission was granted for the next stage of development of the London Cancer Hub. And that means over 1,000,000ft² of innovative research and laboratory space, where we will discover the new drugs that will help cure cancer.

This is great news for Sutton because it means 3 to 4000 local jobs, ranging from lab technician to research scientist.
