Support and information for adults living with a physical disability.
Who we support
We support people from the age of 18 living with a physical disability. We also support parent carers of children with a physical disability.
A physical disability is any condition that permanently prevents normal body movement or control. It can be anything that impacts on the person’s ability to go about their daily life.
Physical disabilities and conditions can include:
- loss of a limb
- spinal injury
- long-term illness such as arthritis
- acquired brain injury

Help with paying for care
If your care needs assessment shows you're eligible for support from the Council, we'll carry out a financial assessment to check you're getting all the benefits you're entitled to.
Depending on your situation, the assessment may find you have to contribute towards your care costs.
Most people pay something towards their care or support.
