Reporting Anti-social Behaviour
In the first instance, and if it is safe to do so, speak to the person who is carrying out the behaviour. They may not know what they are doing is causing distress.
If it needs to be reported, if you are in a rented property, your first point of call for any Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) should be your landlord or housing association. It is the landlord’s responsibility to investigate and deal with ASB concerns in properties they own and manage. For any ASB concerns on Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) estates, tenants should follow the guidance on their Reporting Anti-social Behaviour webpage.
Noise nuisance
For those not in rented properties, if the issue relates to noise-related nuisance, contact Environmental Health.
Flytipping
If the concerns relate to flytipping, you can contact Environmental Health.
If none of the above reporting options are suitable, contact the Police. In an emergency, call 999 and in a non-emergency, call 101 or complete an online ASB report.
Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
If you have reported the issue on at least 3 occasions over the last 6 months but the problem persists you can contact the Community Safety Team on safersutton@sutton.gov.uk and request a Community Trigger case review.
