The POD is a safe and welcoming space for families with children living in temporary or emergency accommodation. It’s a place where you can relax and meet other families while your children play.

What we do at the Pod

At the POD, parents can unwind with a hot drink and get support from a range of services. You can also chat with other parents who are living in similar situations, while your children play with a play worker.

We offer support and advice on:

  • Income and benefits
  • Financial advice and guidance
  • Children’s health advice from the Health Visiting team
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Domestic abuse services
  • Social prescribing to help combat isolation

Our dedicated link workers are here to give you one-to-one support. If you need to talk privately, we have a consultation room on-site.

Opening times

The Pod is open every Tuesday (during school term-time) from 10am to 1pm. Location: Girl Guides Hall, 10 Clarence Rd, Sutton, SM1 1RQ.

Take a look at this leaflet about the Pod for more details and a map.
