Transport for London (TfL) has developed a series of Sub-Regional Transport Plans. This covers five sub-regions in South London, which covers Sutton. The plan identifies four major transport challenges facing South London, and includes:

  • reducing public transport crowding
  • improving access and movement to, from and within town centres and key places
  • improving connectivity to, from and within the sub-region
  • managing highway congestion and making efficient use of the road network
