On being appointed, Steve said:

“I am excited by the ambitious plans for both boroughs and the central role that digital technology can have in achieving them. I’m looking forward to meeting the team and getting fully involved in the digital transformation work across both councils and leading a strong IT service, not only for Kingston and Sutton but also Achieving for Children."

On the appointment, Stephen Evans, Director, Communities at Kingston Council said:

“I’m delighted that Councillors from both councils have appointed Steve to the role. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, which will continue to drive our digital ambitions across both boroughs. We look forward to welcoming Steve to the council in January.”
