Tim has held several leadership roles within local government over the last 40 years and brings over 25 years of experience as a Monitoring Officer.

Prior to his appointment, Tim was Director of Law and Governance, Clerk and Monitoring Officer at West Midlands Combined Authority for 4 years.

He joins Sutton at an exciting time, as major projects move forward, including the development of the Innovation Gateway at the London Cancer Hub; regeneration plans for Sutton town centre; and a major cultural programme being developed for 2023.

On his appointment, Tim said:

"I'm excited to be taking up this new role with Sutton and look forward to meeting new colleagues and using my skills and experience to support the work of the Borough."

Helen Bailey, Chief Executive of Sutton Council, said:

“Tim brings with him a wealth of experience as a monitoring officer and legal practitioner in the public sector.

“I’m delighted to welcome him to Sutton and am sure that he will play a vital role in helping the Council to drive forward our strategy and ambition for the borough and its residents.”
