Annual Council Meeting 22 May 2023

The Annual Council meeting will be held on 22 May 2023, in Sutton Central Library. 

The Annual Council meeting is an important meeting in the civic calendar to elect the Mayor of Sutton and establish committees for the coming year. The focus of the Annual Council meeting in all local authorities is both civic and ceremonial; unlike ordinary Council meetings, this is not a political meeting.

As it is not an ordinary meeting, there will be no opportunity for public participation and questions cannot be submitted. The next ordinary Council meeting is scheduled for 17 July 2023.

The meeting will be live streamed. Members of the public may attend the Annual Council meeting, but due to capacity requirements the meeting will be ticketed. Tickets will be available from Sutton Central Library, from 6.15pm on a first come first served basis, except for invited guests. Due to the level of invited guests the public gallery will be limited in seats compared to ordinary meetings.
