Last month a local family experienced a horrific tragedy, and the loss and heartache is still very much being felt today across the whole community.
The response from the community who came together to support one another and show their respects was overwhelming and this has been reflected by the number of tributes on Collingwood Road.
The family and close relatives of Kyson, Bryson, Leyton and Logan have given their agreement for the Council to begin to move respectfully the tributes to their four boys into Collingwood Recreation Ground opposite.
Any tributes such as wilted flowers or deflated balloons, will be recycled for composting where possible. Tributes, such as cards and soft toys that have not been damaged by the weather, will be given to the family in line with their wishes.
The Council will continue to monitor the condition of the tributes moved to Collingwood Recreation Ground. The Council will also work with the local community to ensure a suitable lasting memorial is put in place in memory of Kyson, Bryson Leyton and Logan at an appropriate time when the family is ready.
