Following the consultations at Stage 1 and Stage 2 we received wide-ranging and valuable feedback to parking proposals for this area.

Plans have subsequently been reviewed and it is now our intention to develop targeted schemes that will address areas of acute parking pressures.

The TMO proposals are for seven permit parking areas: three near St Helier Hospital, two near Hackbridge station, one near Carshalton station and one in Sutton North.

Environment and Neighbourhood Chair Councillor Manuel Abellan said:

“This is the final stage of the consultation for this part of Geographical Area 1. Residents have 21 days to respond to the proposals, with the consultation closing on Thursday July 25. The council will consider and determine all representations received before deciding whether to proceed with the schemes as advertised, modify it or abandon the proposals.”

If you wish to respond to the TMO proposals you can do so by completing the online form at www.sutton.gov.uk/parkingstrategy.

Residents can also view the public notice, proposed TMO, detailed plans and the council’s Statement of Reasons at the Environment, Housing and Regeneration Offices, London Borough of Sutton, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 2JG between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

For residents in the proposed new parking zones in Sutton Central and Sutton South, and the free-bay scheme in Sutton North, we will provide further information about how you can engage in those consultations in the Autumn.
