After working closely with our partners at Everyone Active to implement strict measures to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the centres reopening, we are pleased to confirm Cheam, David Weir, Phoenix and Westcroft leisure centres will be available to the public.

Those using the leisure centres will be required to book sessions in advance, arrive already wearing exercise clothing to minimise the use of changing rooms and to adhere to guidelines regarding the use of masks and cleanliness where instructed to do so.

Further information about the safety measures implemented and the changes to facilities and processes can be found on the Everyone Active website and we ask everyone to familiarise themselves with this detail prior to attending the centre.

Councillor Steve Cook, Lead member for Culture and Leisure, said: “I am pleased to see our leisure centres reopening to the public from 25 July, as this will be a big boost to those looking to exercise safely in a secure, familiar setting.

“I want to reassure residents that the strictest measures are in place to ensure the centres are clean and safe to be used. The Council has worked closely with Everyone Active to make sure all centres are compliant with the latest government advice.”
