Who we are

Volunteer Centre Sutton are the go-to people for volunteering in the London Borough of Sutton. We are a local charity providing a dedicated service for volunteers and organisations.  We help hundreds of local people find volunteering opportunities each year and have been operating for over 50 years.

What we do

Through our extensive network, we are the first port of call for anyone looking to volunteer in Sutton. We can help you find your perfect role based on your skills, interests and availability, and we work with over 500 local organisations promoting their volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer Centre Sutton also run a broad range of our own volunteer projects, all managed by our team. We currently support:

  • children and young people through Mentoring, Advocacy & Peer Support, and Young Commissioners (MAPS)
  • adults who are isolated and lonely through Sutton Befrienders
  • newly arrived residents to integrate and settle in the borough through our Integrating Sutton (Hong Kongers), Ukraine and Afghanistan projects
  • residents with health checks and advice through our Community Health Navigators project
  • residents who need help with basic, one-off, ‘helpful tasks’ through our Community Volunteer Squad
  • any other need in the community that we can address with the support of volunteers

How we work

We offer volunteer advisor sessions where you can sit down with one of our own volunteers for an informal chat to discuss your personal situation and get tailored help.

They take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am to 12pm or 2pm to 4pm at Volunteer Centre Sutton's office.

You can call us on 020 8661 5900, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm or email hello@vcsutton.org.uk to book.
