The team
- carries out ecological management within Sutton's nature reserves to:
	
- protect
 - maintain
 - enhance
 - ensure wildlife-friendly habitats for flora and fauna
 
 - educates children and adults about the local environment and wildlife
 - runs events at Sutton Ecology Centre
 - promotes awareness and understanding through delivering guided walks and talks around the borough
 - advise the planning department on any wildlife issues relating to planning applications
 - maintains up to date, accurate and accessible records of the habitats and species in the borough
 - coordinates actions that can help wildlife through the Biodiversity Strategy
 - contribute towards delivery of the Environment Strategy dealing with nature
