Climate Change and Sustainability

The council’s current climate change and sustainability policies can be found in the Local Plan (Policies 31, 33 and 34).

The council undertakes various evidence base studies to make the borough more resilient to climate change and flooding, such as the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment, Local Flood Management Strategy, Wandle Catchment Plan, Sutton Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, Green Space Guidelines for Sutton, Air Quality Action Plan, Beddington Environment Strategy and Borough Heat Map Study.
