Heating and hot water have been restored to residents on the Collingwood Estate.

Today (Friday 26 April 2024), a temporary boiler has been installed with heating being restored to homes immediately. Hot water is expected to become available from Saturday (27 April 2024) morning once the boiler has fully heated.

Residents impacted by the failure can contact Smith and Byford on 0800 389 0867 if they experience any issues over the weekend.

Residents are also able to continue to use the showers at any of the four council leisure centres between 7am and 10pm (6:30am and 10:30pm for Westcroft) while the hot water heats up.

Steve Tucker, Chief Executive of Sutton Housing Partnership, said:

“I would like to apologise once again for the inconvenience this has caused our residents and to thank them for their patience over the past few days. I am pleased we have been able to provide a temporary solution but we will continue to work hard to ensure a solution is found. We will be compensating all residents for the loss of service and our contractor Smith and Byford will be available over the weekend to continue to support residents as heating and hot water is restored.”
