Guidance on Dog Control and Welfare for Police and Local Authorities
Dog-on-dog attacks are not currently a criminal offence, unless a person also feels at risk of or is attacked. If someone feels threatened or is attacked by a dog it should be reported to the police.
Although the council cannot act in respect of dog-on-dog attacks, this form enables residents to record a dog attack providing a database for the council to review the number and location of incidences.
