Sutton remembers

Today at 11am in an Act of Remembrance on Sutton High Street led by Reverend Frances Arnold from St Nicholas Church, I joined the Mayor, councillors and residents to pay our respects to our Armed Forces community, both past and present.

Our servicemen and women work tirelessly in the line of duty and their contribution is appreciated by us all across Sutton. Today’s Act of Remembrance and this Remembrance Sunday provide the opportunity for the commemoration and recognition of those who have lost their lives, those who have served in the past, and those who continue to serve in our Armed Forces.

The Civic Act of Remembrance will be at Belmont War Memorial this Remembrance Sunday at 10:55am. If you are able to and would like to pay your respects in person you are more than welcome.
