How does a blue badge help?

Displaying the blue badge in your car helps you to park closer to your destination. Even if you don't have a car, you can use your blue badge in someone else's car when they drive you somewhere. Find out more about the Blue badge scheme from GOV.UK

Apply for a Blue Badge

You can apply for a Blue Badge through GOV.UK. There is a £10.00 charge, this is the only fee that will apply and will be refunded if you are not successful. Please pay once you have submitted your application by clicking here.

Alternatively, you can pay for your Blue Badge via telephone, please call 020 8770 5000 and select option 6.

Please allow 6 weeks for us to process your application. This could be longer if we require further information.

In order to assist with the new 'non-visible' disability applications, please download the attached form which should be completed by  health/and social care professionals and can be submitted with the supporting evidence you will need to provide.

If you need support to complete your application we offer a weekly support session on Thursdays between 2pm - 4pm at Civic Offices Reception, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. You will need to book an appointment, which will last approximately 30 minutes, and can be arranged by emailing concessionarytravel@sutton.gov.uk or by phoning 0208 770 4578.

You will be asked to bring your evidence to your appointment and we will help you complete your application while you are present. We will not be able to tell you the outcome of your application during this appointment.   
If you are successful, your blue badge will be posted directly to you.
