Eco-Schools covers nine topics and encompasses much of the good work already being carried out in our schools:

  • biodiversity

  • global citizenship
  • healthy living
  • litter
  • school grounds
  • travel
  • waste
  • water

Become an Eco-School

Over 80% of Sutton schools are registered with Eco-Schools. If you are one of the few not yet signed up, visit the Eco-Schools website to get started.

Schools carry out an environmental review. This covers all nine topics and helps identify potential activities.

Schools will need to establish an Eco-Committee. This is a dedicated group of enthusiastic pupils to help drive the campaign. By your silver award, it's expected that the pupils will be beginning to run the committee themselves.
