‘Ask me’ training - breaking the silence of domestic abuse

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on the amount of people suffering from domestic abuse. For many, being at home has not meant being safe.

The Sutton Women’s Centre is using the Council’s Covid Recovery Fund to train members of our community to become ‘Ask Me Ambassadors’. Ambassadors learn about all forms of domestic abuse and how to respond to survivors through the Women’s Aid ‘Change That Lasts Ask Me' training. 

The Covid Recovery Fund is just one example of how Sutton Council is working together with communities to address the challenges the pandemic has created, while protecting and building on the things that local people value.
