Bringing Community Energy to Sutton
Sutton Council is supporting the creation of a community energy group in the borough, with expert help from Bioregional, Repowering London and Power Up North London to provide support and build up skills.
Community Energy gives communities the opportunity to take control of local, renewable energy generation and support each other to make their homes more energy efficient and affordable to run.
To start this process Bioregional are hosting two Community Energy Roadshow Events in Sutton. It will be a great opportunity to get together, swap ideas and help make Sutton a greener, stronger and fairer place for everyone.
The events will cover:
● What is community energy?
● Why is this needed in Sutton and what can we do?
● How you can get involved?
