Citizenship ceremonies
Congratulations on your application to become a citizen!
The citizenship ceremony is the final step in the process of becoming a citizen. It is a time of celebration, where you will be formally welcomed into the community and presented with your certificate of naturalisation.
We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with you
All of our ceremonies are held in a ceremony room at Sutton Register Office, West Walk Sutton Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1EA.
We have two options for your ceremony:
A Private Ceremony
If you prefer a more personal experience or need to arrange a ceremony quickly, you may choose a private service.
- Availability: A wide range of dates and times available.
- Guests: You may bring up to 30 guests - although you don't have to bring anyone if you would prefer.
- Cost: Monday to Friday £130, Saturday £185
If you are interested in arranging a private ceremony please complete the enquiry form and we will contact you to discuss our availability and book your ceremony for you.
A Group Ceremony
This is the standard way to celebrate your citizenship. You will join a group of other new citizens to make your pledges together.
- Availability: Ceremonies held on Wednesday Mornings only.
- Guests: Due to space restrictions, you are limited to 2 guests.
You can now book your ceremony online; you will need your Home Office reference number (starting with 02 or 03 or 9 or 1212- ) and your surname, if you have a double surname, please only use the last one. For example for surname Gomez Perrera, the password would be Perrera.
