Sutton Council is committed to making our community a place where people want to live and work. As part of this commitment, we’re increasing the number of new and affordable council houses, helping to drive economic growth and investment within the borough.
Using receipts from 'Right to Buy' sales and Housing Revenue Account Borrowing, we will build the first new council houses in nearly 30 years.
Two sites are currently being developed containing 78 houses and flats, some adapted for wheelchair users. These will be located at the Ludlow Site in Wallington and Richmond Green in Beddington - the Fellowes Road development of 15 houses was completed in October and tenants have moved in.
Keeping residents informed
We’ll make sure residents are regularly updated on upcoming work and any events through a range of leaflets, letters, web site notifications and noticeboards at the sites as well as through contractors who will send newsletters to update residents of progress being made.
