Displaying the blue badge in your car helps you to park closer to your destination.
If you don't have a car, you can use your blue badge in someone else's car when they drive you somewhere.
How to apply for or renew a blue badge
There is a £10 charge that is refunded if your application isn't successful.
It can take up to 6 weeks to process your application, it could be longer is we require further information.

Supporting your application
Health and social care professionals can download and complete the proforma to support your online application for a non-visible disability. You should submit it with the other supporting evidence you will need to provide.
If requesting your GP to complete the proforma, be aware that the proforma is not the only information you will need. It is not part of the core function of GPs to complete it and your GP may charge you for this. The practice will be able to provide a print out of your medical history which can be used alongside the proforma (or on its own) to support your application for an assessment.
