Displaying the blue badge in your car helps you to park closer to your destination.
If you don't have a car, you can use your blue badge in someone else's car when they drive you somewhere.
How to apply for or renew a blue badge

There is a £10 charge that is refunded if your application isn't successful.
It can take up to 6 weeks to process your application, it could be longer is we require further information.

Supporting your application
If you're making an application for a 'non-visible' disability, you can:
- download a proforma for a blue badge and
- have it completed by a health and social care professional
If requesting your GP to complete the proforma, please note that it's not the only information you will need and they may charge you for this. The practice will be able to provide a printout of your medical history to support your application for an assessment.
This should be submitted along with the supporting evidence you will need to provide.
