Reopening Sutton Cemetery Chapel - September 2020
We understand that these have been very testing times for families and friends who have lost loved ones during the Coronavirus pandemic. As the lockdown regulations continue to ease, we are now able to welcome families back into our chapel at Sutton Cemetery.
To enable us to do this safely, up to 12 mourners will be able to attend each service. Those from the same household will now be able to sit together.
To ensure the safety of all those attending services, the chapel has been deep cleaned and treated with anti-viral sanitiser. In addition, all areas of the chapel will be cleaned before each service.
We will provide hand sanitiser stations at the chapel entrance for those entering to use and we ask everyone to follow the advice on the notices at the chapel entrances.
Face masks will need to be worn by all attending. These will be provided should anyone not bring their own so that they are able to still attend the service.
Funeral Directors have been advised that Sutton Cemetery Chapel is now available to book and our Cemetery staff are also pleased to advise further on particular needs and requests. Please contact the cemetery team in the usual way. More information about the cemeteries and how to contact us is here.
We know that these are difficult times for those attending and we want to do all we can to ensure loved ones are able to pay their final respects while keeping people safe.
Please note - We are working hard to open Bandon Hill Cemetery chapel as soon as possible, but some adjustments are required to allow us to do this. We will let you know as soon as we have a date for reopening.
